Revamp #4 (Snowboard Trends)

Problem:

In the snowboard sub-culture there is a fair amount of controversy regarding certain trends. Two main trends are currently the focus of discussion. Each side needs a voice to tell their story.

Client:

self-directed

Objective:

present the issue in a book that explains various aspects and origins of each trend.

Format:

book: 11" x 8.5"

Solution:

Gather content material by interviewing people who represent each trend, one from the tight pants crew and one from the gangsta crew. Transcribe the interviews into a written voice for each person. Conduct a photo shoot with both subjects to gather imagery. Create concept for each trend that visually represents their essence.

Revamp #3 (Discombobulated)

Problem:

The tutoring center is a great resource for Weber State students. The center needs to get the word out to new students and remind the old ones of its value. They need to let the students know that they are their to help.

Client:

WSU Tutoring Services

Objective:

Come up with a captivating concept that creates interest. Create a visual presence for the tutoring center that targets WSU students around campus.

Format:

posters: 16" x 20"

flyers: 4.25" x 6.5"

banner vertical: 33" x 50"

Solution:

Target specific students by relating to the feeling of be confused. Use imagery the reflects the concept confusion. Visually represent students as confused by manipulating imagery and using formal qualities of confusion based on a cubist vernacular. Use posters, flyers, and banners to distribute around campus the create a visual presence.
